On March 31, the “World Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Day” publicity and free clinic activity of Xi’an High-tech Zone was held in Gengxi Village, Jiufeng Town. On the same day, while the staff promoted health knowledge, the medical staff of a number of medical institutions provided the villagers with convenient and high-quality diagnosis and treatment services.
A slogan on the core knowledge of tuberculosis prevention and control was hung at the event site, and each medical institution set up free consultation desks for cardiovascular neurology, endocrinology, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, and orthopedics. While strictly implementing epidemic prevention and control, the staff guided the villagers to line up, register, and seek medical treatment in an orderly manner, and distributed the “Tuberculosis Publicity Handbook” to the villagers. The medical staff patiently and meticulously answered the health and disease questions raised by the villagers, issued treatment prescriptions for the sick people, and put forward scientific health care guidance. And publicize and explain the core knowledge of tuberculosis and policies that benefit the people, instructing the masses to strengthen self-protection in daily life and effectively deal with infectious diseases.
“Bring health to the masses.” The relevant person in charge of Gengxi Village said that the face-to-face free medical service allows villagers to enjoy high-quality medical services without leaving the village, and at the same time improves the villagers’ health awareness.

This event was hosted by Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Tuberculosis Prevention and Control, Xi’an Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Xi’an High-tech Zone Social Services Service Bureau, Jiufeng Town Party Committee and Government, and hosted by High-tech Zone Health Center, Jiufeng Town Health Center, and Gengxi Village Senior Citizens Association . The medical institutions participating in the free clinic include Shaanxi Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Institute, Xi’an Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Xi’an First Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Medical College, Zhongbo Jixian Hospital, Health and Health Center of High-tech Zone, Jiufeng Town Health Center, Jixian Central Health Center, Jixian Town Jiuyan Health Center, Jiufeng Town Gengyu Health Center, etc.
