Armpits are “meaty” because they are fat? Or the presence of the auxiliary breast brush

I always thought that the fleshy “nowhere to put” under my arm was fat, but I didn’t expect it to be auxiliary breasts. Ms. Shi recently encountered something that puzzled her during her physical examination: the doctor told her that she had a pair of breasts. The auxiliary breast, she has never heard of it before, will it become cancerous, should it be removed, and can it be removed by losing weight?

What is a secondary breast? Auxiliary breasts are extra breasts or breast-like lumps outside a pair of normal breasts. Many women have extra breasts in their armpits as auxiliary breasts. Secondary breasts can appear not only in the armpits, but also in other parts of the body, such as above or below the normal breasts, abdomen, and even the groin area. Some auxiliary breasts have only mammary glands, and some have only nipples, but there are also complete breasts (nipples, areola, glands) that can be seen in the axilla and are larger.

How to identify? Some women start to “grow up” in middle age, and some fat appears, and there will also be a bulge in front of the armpit, which looks like an auxiliary breast. At this time, you can touch the raised part with your hand, and if it is an accessory breast, you can touch the gland. Since most of the auxiliary breasts do not feel uncomfortable, they are usually discovered by doctors during physical examinations. After arriving at the hospital, the doctor will observe and palpate. In terms of the performance of the auxiliary breast, when the hand touches it, it will touch the subcutaneous, which is similar to the texture of touching the breast, and generally has no obvious boundary with the skin. The most direct way is to do B-ultrasound to determine whether there are glands.

Is it cancerous? Since the auxiliary milk is an extra and degenerated organ of the human body, it has lost its actual physiological function, so these extra parts affect the appearance first. In addition, some auxiliary breasts may also be accompanied by pain. This is because the glands in the auxiliary breasts can change with the changes in human hormone levels, causing swelling and pain. In severe cases, it may affect the activities of the upper limbs. This kind of pain Usually occurs regularly, usually before menstruation.

It is worth noting that complete accessory breasts may become cancerous, especially the accessory breasts in the armpits are more prone to cancer.

Need excision? Although most auxiliary breasts do not affect physical health, when some auxiliary breasts are too large, or there are symptoms such as pain due to excessive glands, or local friction and discomfort affect life; or abnormal masses are palpable in the auxiliary breasts, it is suspected For those with benign and malignant tumors; for those with a family history of breast cancer, the doctor will recommend surgical removal.

There are two ways to remove the auxiliary breast: one is liposuction removal, which is suitable for the false auxiliary breast formed due to improper dressing or simple fat accumulation, and the wound is about 0.5 cm; the other is surgical removal, It is suitable for accessory breasts with breast tissue inside, with an incision of 2 to 3 cm, hidden under the armpit, and does not affect the appearance.
