The reporter came to Jinning South Dianchi National Wetland Park and saw a lot of pink bubbles at the location of the original 2814 fishing ground. Fushou snail eggs, these eggs mainly gather on river banks, grasses, bare stones, and stems of aquatic plants.

Afterwards, the reporter got on the boat with the river cleaners and came to the river, and saw the eggs laid by the snails around the wetland. Go in the boat along the waters of the wetland, the deeper the place, the more pink eggs of Fushou snails.

Introduced by the river cleaners, Fushou snails live in this water area, when they lay eggs will come to the water.

Faced with these snail eggs, river cleaners are currently cleaning them with bare hands. A river cleaner said that the eggs on the riverside are relatively easy to clean, and the hard-to-clean ones are in the corners. “The boat can’t get in, and neither can people. We just use sticks and other tools to hit it in the water, and it won’t come out.” In addition, according to the river cleaners, the speed at which these snails lay eggs is also Very fast, “like clearing this location today, it will be back the next day.”

It is understood that since July, the park management has arranged special manpower to clean up the eggs of Fushou snails every day. However, because the South Dianchi National Wetland Park is a conservation area and cannot be sprayed with medicine, it can only be cleaned by hand at present.

According to reports, this year’s rainy season has a lot of rainfall, and the snails lay more eggs. The positions from Station 1 to Station 5 and 5 belong to the core area. Usually, there is less human interference in the core area, and the plants grow fast, so the snails make their nests under the aquatic plants. The garden has included the cleanup of Fushou snails into the key work of wetland protection, and the cleanup will continue until August.

The snail is an edible snail introduced from South America in the 1980s. The southern provinces are spreading. Yang Jianhong, deputy director of the Kunming Fisheries Research Institute, introduced that Fushou snails have a very strong mechanism against pesticides. Generally, drugs that kill snails cannot kill them. Only artificial or some biological means can be used to kill them. Kill it, like putting ducks to eat it.
