A hospital in Huangshan admits two heat stroke patients a day

It is understood that the emergency department of Huangshan People’s Hospital admitted two patients with heat stroke on July 15. One of the patients, 52 years old, gradually developed symptoms such as general malaise, chest tightness, dizziness and discomfort while working in the afternoon. He was sent to the emergency department of the Municipal People’s Hospital at around 6 o’clock in the evening. Sun Gang, deputy administrative director of the Emergency Department of the Municipal People’s Hospital, told reporters that at that time, the patient lost consciousness and developed symptoms such as convulsions and incontinence. The core temperature was around 40°C, accompanied by muscle and organ damage.

The medical staff in the emergency department continued to give Xie Moumou active and effective first aid measures such as cooling, rapid rehydration, control of convulsions and airway protection. At present, Xie Moumou is still in a coma with a high body temperature and is being treated in the ICU of the emergency department. Another patient, a man in his 50s, also developed symptoms of radiation sickness because he worked in a closed room. He was sent to the Municipal People’s Hospital at around 9 p.m.

The reporter learned that there were some heat stroke patients in Huangshan City in previous years, but it was rare that there were two cases of heat stroke in one day yesterday.
