But with four-digit daily new infections, these prevention and control measures become exponentially more difficult and, for the first time, challenge our effective Fangcang shelter strategy over the past two years.
The three makeshift hospitals in Jilin City were put into use this morning, with a total of 1,203 beds, but 697 new cases of asymptomatic infections were added yesterday. At present, how to triage infected persons is a difficulty in prevention and control.
Outbreak curves in other countries and regions show that the peak stage of Omicron is usually about two weeks. Jilin and other parts of the country will be under a lot of pressure in the past two weeks, but the principle of dynamic clearing should still be adhered to.
