Representative Liu Qingfeng, Chairman of iFLYTEK:
Using artificial intelligence to assist grass-roots chronic disease management
Bright Daily reporter Yang Sa
This year’s government work report proposes to improve the capacity of medical and health services. With the increasing proportion of chronic disease patients, especially elderly patients with chronic diseases, the huge group of chronic diseases not only imposes a burden on basic public health services, but also increases the pressure on the operation of medical insurance funds. In this regard, the representative of iFLYTEK, chairman of iFLYTEK, believes that “the application of artificial intelligence general practice auxiliary diagnosis technology and intelligent voice outbound call capability to grassroots chronic disease management will help improve residents’ sense of health gain and promote the construction of a healthy China.”
The application of artificial intelligence technology in primary medical care provides new ideas for solving chronic disease management problems. Representative Liu Qingfeng suggested: Incorporate intelligent voice outbound calls as a means of public health services into the “National Basic Public Health Service Specifications” to solve the problems of shortage of basic public health service personnel and low sense of access to family doctors’ contracted services; introduce an artificial intelligence chronic disease management model To encourage the large-scale application of AI-based chronic disease management models, the management norms, evaluation standards and assessment requirements of AI-based grass-roots refined chronic disease management services will be included in the medical insurance fee catalog.
