Taiwan compatriot Mao Weilin crossed the mountains and seas to stay in “Mansion” for love, and encouraged young Taiwanese to return to the mainland to find love

Mao Weilin is from Taichung and his ancestral home is Shandong. Because his daughter studied in the United States, he went to South Carolina in 1995 to open a glass factory and engage in the catering industry. Zhu Sujiao is from Taizhou, Zhejiang. In 2019, Mao Weilin came to Xiamen to settle for Zhu Sujiao, and now serves as the assistant to the director of Taiwan compatriots in Xingang Community, Huli District.

Mao Weilin and Zhu Sujiao

Love does not matter age, as long as it is love. Mao Weilin and Zhu Sujiao are a year apart in age. The two were netizens at first, and they had a good chat on the Internet twenty years ago. Zhu Sujiao was attracted by the witty and humorous Mao Weilin, she said: “To be honest, I actually never thought of marrying him before. But I have liked him for a long time, and I have liked him since very early on the Internet. I want to meet and then It’s enough to hold hands. I didn’t expect that after meeting me, the spark of love would go out of control.” After Mao Weilin’s first wife died of cancer, his daughter encouraged his father Mao Weilin to find another person to accompany him. With the support and encouragement of his family, Mao Weilin decided to spend the rest of his life with Zhu Sujiao.

Mao Weilin once required emergency hospitalization for surgery, which was a very large and dangerous operation. Zhu Sujiao came to Taiwan as soon as she got the visa and waited outside the operating room for 14 hours on the day of the operation. Mao Weilin said: “She sat outside and waited for me. After she woke up from the operation, Zhu Sujiao immediately asked me if I was in pain. I asked her, did you rest? She said no, because she was nervous.” After the operation, Zhu Sujiao continued. Stayed in the hospital for 15 days, taking care of Mao Weilin in every possible way. It was not until Mao Weilin recovered that he returned to Xiamen from Taiwan. Mao Weilin was moved by her sincere dedication. At this time, Mao Weilin also decided in his heart that Zhu Sujiao was the other half of his future life and his lifelong partner.

Mao Weilin also visited Zhu Sujiao every day during quarantine. The person you are thinking of is close in front of you, but it seems to be thousands of miles away. “Because the hotel window can’t be opened, I want to stick my head out, and I can’t even meet her. I can only put my ‘devil’ in it. She quickly said to take your ‘devil’ back, I said that I can take it back.” Mao Weilin said with emotion.

Love is very simple, as simple as three meals a day, in daily household chores. Mao Weilin did a good job and made Zhu Sujiao “fat”. In addition, he is a meticulous and considerate family warm man. Zhu Sujiao said: “He cooks a lot of delicious meals, all of which are exquisite Chinese and Western delicacies. He will do many small things at home. If I can’t do it, I will call him and he will do it. I’m here, very considerate.” Mao Weilin said sincerely: “Because your wife is your own choice, and it’s yours for the rest of your life. Whatever method you use to treat her, she will use the same method to repay you. So I put her Be your own daughter and be your own dear wife.”

There are still some cheerful little squabbles in life. Because Mao Weilin is a Taiwanese, he doesn’t know simplified Chinese very well. Zhu Sujiao said: “I know him to type traditional characters, and he knows me to type simplified characters, but he can’t write. When he comes to the mainland to write and edit, he has to use simplified characters, and he has a headache.” Mao Weilin said: “We study in Taiwan, a lot of We have never used this idiom, and the school has not taught it. So I would often be corrected by her, saying, ‘Hey, you are illiterate.'”

“I think it is necessary to continue to promote the marriage between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. The marriage integration between the two sides of the strait is the most important thing.” Mao Weilin said, “My love advice to young people is to bravely strive for the ideal love you think and pursue it, no matter how far away the distance is. , don’t give up, and hope that more Taiwanese youths can return to the motherland to find your love.”
