For common old residential buildings with a total of five to seven floors, the water tank on the top floor must be used for water supply above the 4th floor. Generally, the higher the floor, the lower the water pressure in the water tank. For example, in the old and small in Shanghai, the sixth floor is generally the minimum water pressure, and it is really impossible without a booster pump.
If the water pressure of the water supply meets the data, and the water pressure is reduced, it is usually because of corrosion and blockage in the pipeline, or because there are too many turning points in the waterway, and there is a water outlet in the middle, which causes the water pressure to drop. . It’s time for specific repairs.
Because this renovation is located on the fourth floor, the water pressure can only be enough to allow the water to fall freely without the slightest spray force after installing the shower with a large nozzle. This also made me determined to add a booster pump.
Because there are about four water outlet points in the whole house, after using pressurized water, I still hope that the water pressure of all water outlet points can be increased, so it is necessary to choose a whole house pressurization scheme. There is no solution to pressurize the shower separately.

I personally think that this purchase process involves not only the selection of brands and models, but also the detection of the current situation of water pressure at home. Second, measure the water pressure
In terms of water pressure detection, I was confused and didn’t want to check. Later, I found that no one gave a reliable answer, so I had to actually measure it.
The first thing to do is to buy a pressure gauge, this thing is relatively simple, and the baby will find it everywhere. When I bought it, due to the epidemic in Shanghai, the first one was not willing to ship it to me, so the second order was bought. The price is not expensive, basically around 20 yuan, and it also comes with a special pressure relief valve. It won’t hurt even if you use it once.

Dial There are two sets of readings on the scale, one is common mPa, the other is PSI, we will not talk about the specific conversion, we will refer to a common mPa.
Generally speaking, 0.1mPa is converted into 1 kg of water pressure, which is also equivalent to 10 meters of water pressure.
After the actual measurement of this watch, the water pressure of the high-rise residential building can reach 0.5mPa, so it is no wonder that I feelSo comfortable.
The water pressure I measured on the fourth floor of the old building was only 0.1mPa! ! !
This water situation is relatively poor, if there is no faucet bubbler, really Equivalent to dripping water.
So, after testing, the current situation of water pressure is relatively clear.
The pipeline water pressure of 0.1mPa, if you want to achieve the effect of a large shower, at least 0.4mPa, in this case, you need to pressurize 0.3mPa, that is, the booster pump At least 30 meters of head can be provided.
With this conversion, you will have a purchasing idea. When selecting the lift of the booster pump, pay attention to the maximum lift instead of the rated lift, because when the actual water is used, there will be multiple water outlet points, which requires the booster pump to continue to increase the output. The maximum lift is more for reference.
But be careful not to pressurize unrestrictedly, otherwise it may cause a pipe burst.
Third, buy a booster pump
There are many reference guides in this regard. I will not be a porter, and I will mainly talk about the changes in my thinking .
The old man’s house is on the sixth floor of the old and small, and the booster pump has always been inseparable. I used to buy a booster pump from the building materials city. This product of Wilo also makes me have a heart problem, that her automatic controller has to be purchased separately, and it is not cheap. The so-called automatic controller is similar to the automatic start-stop device of a car. When there is no water flow, the machine is on standby, and when there is water flow, it will start to turn sharply. Without the installation of an automatic controller, the machine can only be kept running at full capacity and the pipes are always pressurized.
According to professionals, the essence of Wilo lies in the fully imported controllers, and most of the domestic ones are domestically produced, so the actual effect may be discounted.
In fact, for booster pumps, the importance of automatic control is not less than head power.
New Territories
After that, I began to pay attention to this little white whale in the New Territories. To be honest, I was attracted by the appearance. Even if it is not hidden in the cabinet, it does not affect the appearance.
Using frequency conversion and constant voltage technology, it can reduce noise well. And can adjust the pressure output by itself. The experience of using it is definitely a lot better than any booster pump I’ve seen before.
However, her maximum lift is only 25 meters, which is far lower than my needs.

Fourth, installation and use
After a long period of price keeping and tangled orders, the machine arrived. When placing the order, I directly purchased the installation service for 150 yuan.
Because the machine could not be installed at the first time, it has been kept in a sealed state, waiting for the installation master to pass.I opened it myself, and I recorded the whole video. If I found a problem when I opened the box, I would chat with the customer service in time.
When the master saw this machine, he always praised it. It is a relatively high-end model with less installation and the quality is absolutely acceptable. It can be called the Rolls-Royce of the booster pump . Immediately I was looking forward to using it.
The master is checking the condition of the machine and accessories. After inspection, the two original adapters are completely useless, because the diameter too big.
The cooling holes at the rear, this machine generates a lot of heat. If it is idling, it will also be damaged, so there are special protection settings for idling.
The two adapters provided on site have an official price, but I still feel that the equipment provided by the machine is not very reasonable.

All installations and connections are in place, and it can work when powered on. I haven’t had a chance to study the operation menu carefully, so I temporarily debugged it by the installer.
Digital display part, the left is the existing pressure in the pipeline, the right is the target pressure. With the plus and minus signs, you can set the target pressure yourself. Such a working mode can be convenient for users to choose freely, and also save more power.
