The amazing workmanship of nature and the nostalgia of showy people endow Chongqing Fengjie with a proud tourism capital. Baidi City and Qutang Gorge Scenic Spot is an important part of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, and Baidi City is the sixth batch of national Key cultural relics protection units.

Bai Di City was originally named Ziyang City. Many famous poets in the past dynasties have climbed Baidi and traveled to Kuimen, leaving a lot of poems, so Baidi City has the reputation of “Poetry City”. The unique geographical location of Baidi City has always been a battleground for military strategists. Nature, humanities, history and poetry complement each other here, creating a broad and profound Three Gorges culture, Three Kingdoms culture and Poetry City culture. Here, there are wind and rain covered bridges with beautiful scenery, where the sun rises and the moon rises, and rivers and waves can be seen; there is a must-see place to check in, Zhongyi Square, which promotes Zhuge Liang’s great loyalty and righteousness; there is a natural and fresh air, quiet and comfortable environment for walking around the mountains road.
Qutang Gorge and Baidi City face each other across the water, with a total length of 8 kilometers. Although it is the shortest among the canyons in the third section of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, it is the most majestic and steep. The momentum is like a door, creating a magnificent landscape of “Kuimen is the best in the world”. Both sides of Qutang Gorge are like cuts, and since ancient times, there has been a reputation as “dangerous as Jiange, majestic as Kui”. The sun shines on the cliff, red, white, yellow, brown and other colors and the morning, sunset, and bright moon of Qutang Gorge complement each other to form scenic spots such as “Red Jia Qinghui”, “White Salt Dawn” and “Kuimen Autumn Moon”. It is worth mentioning that Qutangxia Kuimen is also the back of the fifth set of RMB 10 banknotes.
It is understood that Chongqing Fengjie has 23 A-level scenic spots in terms of ecological resources, including 7 4A-level scenic spots and 3 3A-level scenic spots. The Qutang Gorge, the top of the Three Gorges, the Tiankeng and the ground seam, the original village of the Three Gorges, and the Longqiao River are the most representative. In terms of human resources, Fengjie has a history of 2,300 years of building a county, among which the culture of the Three Kingdoms is the most popular. According to statistics from relevant departments, 472 poets once left 4,464 poems here. The county has also won more than 100 honors, including the only Chinese Poetry City in the country and a new landmark of the Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor.
