A grand canal, half the history of China. The Grand Canal has been excavated for more than 2,500 years. It is the ancient canal with the longest mileage and the largest project in the world, with a total length of about 3,200 kilometers. It flows through 8 provinces and cities and connects five major water systems. On June 22, 2014, the China Grand Canal Project was selected into the World Cultural Heritage List.
