The nameless beggar wrote a desperate poem, very arrogant and unrestrained, and it makes people feel embarrassed to read it

This is the first time I saw this fatal poem. After reading it, I was amazed that a beggar could write such a bold and arrogant poem, and was impressed by it; On the streets, begging all day long for a living, eating the food that comes.

And when I finished reading the story behind “The Death Poem”, I was even more sighed and sighed with emotion.

“Poem of Death”

Unknown Beggar

His life is like a gull on water, and he carries bamboo The rod crossed the southern state.

In the evening, the waning moon is full of rice bags, and the song board sings Xiaoqiu in the wind.

Kick the world over with both feet, and pick up all the sorrows of the past and the present with one shoulder.

Now that I don’t eat, why should the yellow dog bark endlessly.

The story happened more than 200 years ago during the Jiaqing Year, and it was also such a cold winter morning .

On the outskirts of Tongzhou City, the cold wind whimpered and the dead trees rustled. On the official road leading to the county seat, the ditch is like a ravine, and no one is there.

An old man in very shabby clothes, carrying a bamboo dung basket on his shoulders, holding a dung picking fork in his arms, hunched over, facing the cold wind, walking alone, this is the An old man who picks up dung. Early in the morning, when the sky was still bright, he came out to pick up the dung left by past livestock on the official road.

Suddenly, he stopped, and he saw a man curled up in the ditch of the official road. A ragged, thin frozen zombie body, with a slight layer of hoarfrost on the body. He knew that this was a beggar who died of starvation last night. The old man sighed and shook his head helplessly. This was the first time he had encountered such a thing.

So he reported to the state officials of Tongzhou as usual with beggars who had frozen to death. When the state official ordered an autopsy, he discovered a poem called “Poem of Death”.

The state official began to write poetry, and after reading the seven-character lyric poem written by the beggar before his death, he couldn’t help but sigh. Out of admiration for the beggar poet, the state officials ordered people to bury the beggar poet on the spot and erect a monument saying: “The Tomb of the Poetry Beggar in Yongjia” (because the poet beggar is from Yongjia, hence the name “Yongjia Poetry Beggar”).

The official erected a monument for a beggar who died tragically, and the inscription was also called “Yongjia Poetry Beggar”, which shows the level and influence of this poem at that time. The first couplet said, “My life is like a gull on the water, and I carry a bamboo stick to Nanzhou.” My background is like a gull and bird on the water, but I have to pass through Nanzhou with a cane no matter what.

The “water gull” uses the “Piao Piao He” in Du Fu’s “Lv Ye Shu Huai”. It’s like, there is a seagull in the world”. And “bamboo stick” originated from Su Shi’s “Ding Fengbo”, “Bamboo stick manshoes are lighter than horses. Who is afraid? A misty rain and a lifetime.” Don’t be afraid of hardships, live your life calmly, reach your own destination, be firm and unshakable.

He nodded, “The rice bag is full of the waning moon in the evening, and the song board sings Xiaoqiu in the wind.” There is nothing in his rice bag, but he can only hold the reflection of the moon in the empty sky. It shows that I am hungry, I haven’t eaten for a long time, and it connects the bowl with the moon. The picture is beautiful and the expression is very poetic.

I am very hungry, what should I do? I can only make fun of the bitterness, face the wind, pick up the board, and sing the song of autumn when the sky is slightly bright. His own life has been exhausted, but he can still sing and make fun of hardships shows the optimistic spirit of the poet. The song sung is about Qiu, which shows that the poet knows that his life will come to an end, and he is very worried about his life, but he still has to face it with optimism.

The neck couplet “Two feet kick over the dusty world, and one shoulder picks up the sorrows of the past and the present.” I will use my feet to break this old world on earth and build a new world. My shoulders will lift all the sorrows of the past and present. It can be seen from this that this beggar’s mind is no trivial matter, and he has a kind of feeling of benefiting the world, such as Du Fu’s “Abide by thousands of mansions, and protect the world’s poor people with joy”, as well as Fan Zhongyan’s “Worry before the world and worry later,” The joy of the world.”

End link “If you don’t eat now, why should the yellow dog bark endlessly.” I don’t If you eat food donated by others, even if you die of starvation, you will not be in the same boat as “some people”. Yellow dog, you don’t have to bark for my death. The “yellow dog” here alludes to the dignitaries at that time. You let me and your team. It is a dream. Even if I starve to death, I will not go. Clear.” The deep meaning is revealed in it.

Anonymous Beggar’s “Poem of Death” is neatly contrasted and has a good style.

This “Poem of Death” can be called the first poem written by beggars in ancient and modern times. work.

The first half of the poem is quite full of Liu Yong’s unrestrained breeze, but the second half is abruptly turned. . It can be concluded that writing poetry beggars is definitely not a common man, and must have a tortuous and tragic life experience.

It’s a pity that he has only one death poem left in his life. Others, surname and family experience, all follow his death , and become a mystery that can never be solved…
