On July 22, the first Lily Ecological Culture Festival in the Expo Park will open, with 4 million lilies and 60 varieties of lilies in full bloom one after another. , the five color systems of yellow, white, red, pink and orange will render the park into a “color palette”. The cultural festival will last until September 22, and people can camp, hike and enjoy the scenery in the cool landscape garden.
People are used to seeing pure white lilies, but the lilies in Shiyuan Park are colorful, including yellow, white, red, pink and orange. Five major color systems, more than 60 domestic and foreign lily varieties with high appearance and strong resistance, such as First Love, Red Dynamic, Indian Summerset Island, Sunderland, and Pavia, are displayed here.
Because of the unique geographical environment and climate, the lily landscape in the Expo Park presents the characteristics of “beautiful, abundant, comfortable and long-lasting”. The park is located in Yanqing, the temperature is about 5 degrees Celsius lower than the urban area, and 1 degree Celsius lower than that of Chengde Mountain Resort. As the fruit of the first phase of the project of the incubation of the bulbous flower (lily) seed industry in the Expo, these lilies are excellent varieties carefully selected by the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, with strong bulbs and are in the best period of growth.
4,000,000 lilies spread throughout the garden, including the 100-acre flower sea on the east side of the African Garden, and the regular flower beds of the gardening town.
