The museum said on the 11th that it will optimize the ticket purchase arrangement and open various types of tickets throughout August for visitors to purchase or reserve free tickets for Wednesday from the 12th.
From 10:00 am on the 12th, the public can purchase more than 137,000 tickets online from August 1 to August 31, including reservations for free standard tickets for 5 Wednesdays in August. Various types of tickets in September will be open for reservation or ordering in early August, and details will be announced later.
Ticket sales and reservations According to the original method, most tickets will be sold or reserved through the Central Ticketing Platform of the West Kowloon Cultural District. The “Cultural District” mobile app connects to the West Kowloon Cultural District Central Ticketing Platform to make reservations or purchase tickets. The remaining tickets can be purchased through the online platforms of Klook, the three ticketing partners of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, China Travel Service Hong Kong and Fliggy Travel.
The museum said that it received nearly 35,000 visitors in the first week of its opening (July 3-10), and the admission arrangement was smooth. Since the sale of July tickets on June 14, nearly 140,000 tickets of various types have been sold or booked, accounting for about 97% of the tickets available for booking in the first month.
