This time, Nanjing adjusted the prices of a total of 76 clinical diagnosis and treatment items, involving 5 specialties, including 9 orthopedics, 20 general surgery, 15 neurosurgery, 12 cardiothoracic surgery, and 20 obstetrics and gynecology.

Diao Renchang, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of Nanjing Medical Insurance Bureau, introduced that this adjustment is a unified medical service price adjustment in the whole province, and the adjustment items are closely related to the centralized procurement of pharmaceutical consumables in recent years. Adjust and focus on service items with high technical difficulty and high risk. There are 68 surgical items at level 3 and above, accounting for 89.5%, which effectively reflects the value of technical labor services of medical personnel. The medical insurance payment category of 65 projects is Class A, which is fully borne by the medical insurance fund, accounting for 85.5%.

At the same time, this adjustment involves 7 maternity insurance payment items, simultaneously adjusting maternity insurance benefits for insured persons, raising the upper limit standard for the full payment of employee maternity insurance, and increasing the fund payment ratio of tertiary medical institutions , to ensure that the individual burden of childbirth and hospitalization for the childbearing population will not increase basically.

Since the establishment of Nanjing Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau in 2019, it has further promoted the reform of drug and medical consumables management, implemented the results of national and provincial centralized procurement, innovated the municipal negotiation method, and promoted the formation of fast circulation, reasonable price and standardized use. As of the end of 2021, Nanjing has saved nearly 5 billion yuan in procurement costs for medicines and consumables.
