Hearing impairment can affect the development of children’s language ability and hinder their normal learning and life. In view of the fact that the incidence of deafness in China is high, the number is large, the harm is great, and the prevention work is weak, 10 ministries, commissions and bureaus including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs jointly set March 3 each year as the “National Ear Day”. In order to enhance the awareness of hearing disability prevention in the whole society, and effectively control and reduce the occurrence and development of hearing disabilities, this year’s Ear Day is approaching, the Disabled Persons’ Federation of Huancui District, Weihai City has organized professional hearing institutions to enter the community. , to carry out activities related to the Love of the Ear Day, vigorously publicize the relevant knowledge of hearing disability prevention, detection, treatment and rehabilitation, and guide community residents to detect and prevent hearing loss as soon as possible, and reduce the incidence of deafness. At the site of the “Ear Day” free clinic, activities such as lectures, free clinics, hearing aid maintenance, and disability assistance policy promotion were carried out, and services such as hearing examinations were provided for residents at home.

The relevant person in charge of the Huancui District Disabled Persons’ Federation told reporters that the current Huancui District’s rehabilitation and assistance policies for the hearing disabled include: Hearing disabled children aged 0-17 enjoy rehabilitation training assistance, hearing disabled children aged 0-17 enjoy cochlear implant surgery and service assistance, hearing disabled children enjoy subsidies for assistive device adaptation, hearing genetic testing projects, etc.
