A month ago, Zhang Guijun, director of the Department of Urology of Juancheng County People’s Hospital, led a medical team to successfully reduce and repair inguinal bladder hernias in patients using inguinal bladder hernia technology. The recovery of this rare case is a new manifestation of the professional technical level and service ability of the urology department of Juancheng County People’s Hospital.
A 72-year-old male patient was admitted to the hospital for 1 year with dysuria, characterized by the need to squeeze the enlarged scrotum before urination. , seriously affect the quality of life. Director Zhang Guijun believed that it was caused by bladder hernia into the scrotum. CT examination confirmed the judgment, and the bladder herniated into the scrotum up to ¾ (see figure below).
The difficulty of this operation is that the bladder ¾ hernia takes a long time to enter the scrotum, the adhesion is heavy, and the abdominal wall defect is serious. It is necessary to fully release the adhesion, expand the retropubic bladder space, make the bladder natural, restore the natural extensibility of the bladder, and then repair the abdominal wall defect with a tension-free mesh.
After the operation, the patient recovered smoothly, the difficulty in urination was completely resolved, and there was no need to squeeze the scrotum again, which was unanimously recognized by the patient and his family.
