From old to young can drink “vegetable juice”! Precautions and matching recipes are here

This article is about 1000 words and takes about 2 minutes to read

When thinking about eating some vegetables for a balanced nutrition, I took a cabbage directly from the refrigerator, chopped it, cooked it, and put it in a blender to make a juice, which was very easy.

I once shared the above eating method in an article about not recommending drinking juice. Some netizens were surprised when they saw it and said that you didn’t recommend others not to use a juicer, so why do you do it yourself? ?

Why would I recommend vegetable juice?

Which vegetables are juicy and nutritious?

The reason is below ⬇️

⬇️ The following is the text version of the answer to the first question

1

Vegetable and Fruit Juicing Tips

First of all, it is best to eat whole fresh vegetables. If there is inconvenience, lack of time, and dislike to eat, vegetable juice can be completely considered.

The difference between vegetables and fruits

We generally do not recommend juicing with fruit for three reasons:

(1) The process of juicing damages plant cell walls, which greatly increases the free sugars in the fruit juice, increasing the blood sugar response.

But the vegetables themselves have no sugar, so juicing is fine.

(2) Juicing can lead to overeating and overeating. Drinking a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice without water is equivalent to eating two or three oranges in one go, which will increase the metabolic burden.

But my appeal for eating at home is to eat more vegetables on the premise of saving time. Juicing and drinking are much more convenient than cooking.

(3) Fruits can be directly digested when eaten raw, and do not require further processing. Juicing is rather troublesome.

Vegetables often have thick stems and long leaves that need to be chopped up, and contain oxalic acid cooked will be better for digestion, and further processing is required. Juicing is one of the less hassle-free processing options.

The difference between blending and juicing

Ordinary juicers are designed to take into account the taste and filter out a lot of dregs.

And these substances that affect the taste are actually rich in dietary fiber, polyphenols and other antioxidants, and have high nutritional value. It is better to eat them all.

A blender without a filter can help you do just that.

Who should consider a juicer

Juicing and drinking vegetables is a great option for people who don’t have a lot of time to cook or eat.

For people with stomach problems, such as the elderly and children, juicing vegetables will also help them digest better, but be sure to blanch the vegetables in advance to remove water-soluble oxalic acid component.

Also, I have a Temporomandibular Disorder, which is aggravated by strenuous chewing, which requires timely use of tools.

2

Disadvantages of fruit and vegetable juicing

In fact, from the perspective of nutrient destruction, boiling and breaking can easily destroy heat-sensitive vitamins. Frying and steaming retain more nutrients.

However, blanking can greatly reduce the risk of microorganisms and pesticide residues on vegetables, and will not consume additional oil and salt.

Cooking dilutes the oxalic acid, allowing the mineral to be better absorbed while reducing the risk of kidney stones.

If it is a vegetable with a lot of oxalic acid (such as spinach, amaranth), it is also recommended to add some milk when stirring, so that the calcium in the milk can bind the vegetables of oxalic acid.

Do you think my practice is very nutritious after listening to it? It also has a fresh and healthy taste.

Welcome to leave a message to share quick and healthy vegetable practices, and let’s eat more vegetables together.
