Lu Yanli pointed out that the Phase II construction project of the West Hospital is an important part of the construction of the provincial regional medical center, which should be planned at a high level and promoted with high quality. The construction of scientific research buildings should meet the needs of discipline construction, and relevant departments should cooperate closely and jointly promote it. The construction of the infection building is of great significance for vigorously improving the prevention and treatment capabilities of major epidemics and public health emergencies in the region. The Infection Building of the West Campus has set up departments such as negative pressure isolation ward, combined epidemic prevention and control ward, operating room, delivery room, ICU, inspection (including PCR laboratory), CT, color Doppler ultrasound, pharmacy, inpatient department, fever clinic and other departments. “Yellow Code Hospital” has received comprehensive inspection and treatment, providing a strong guarantee for social harmony and stability. At present, the infected building is in the stage of fine decoration and will be put into use in October 2022.
The scientific research building is divided into five parts: molecular biology laboratory, cell biology laboratory, histomorphology laboratory, molecular cloning laboratory and stem cell clinical research and application center. The medical research center of the hospital provides hardware guarantee and software support for the scientific research work of the hospital, promotes the research on disease pathogenesis and the construction of medical and health big data, and radiates the development of clinical scientific research in the central Shandong region. At present, the scientific research building is in the construction stage of the main structure and is expected to be put into use in June 2023.
