From difficult to drink water to drinking good water, the Yintai people in the arid plateau of Weibei have gone through a difficult journey of fighting against heaven and earth. Yintai District has connected 146 single-village water supply projects into a “water network”, and built 7 regional centralized water supply stations; in order to achieve 24-hour stable water supply, a water conservancy construction and development company was established to undertake rural water supply The operation and maintenance of the project has realized the direct management of the whole process of water source, personnel, equipment, and pipe network from the “source” to the “faucet”, so as to ensure that the villagers can use safe, stable and affordable water.
“In the beginning, we went to the ditch to fetch water to eat, put the water into the tank, and the bottom was full of silt. Later, the tap water was passed to the home. Now, the water price is affordable, and if you encounter a problem, just a phone call away. There are administrators who come to repair the house. Mu Yabing added: “We test the water quality of all water supply projects in the region during the dry and wet seasons every year, and conduct random inspections on a daily basis, adding another protective door for the safety of rural water quality.”
