In response, Wu Huanyu, deputy director of the Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention, responded that the results of the epidemiological survey showed that the seven infected people reported today are related to the one local confirmed case reported on March 1, and they were exposed together. The venue is Shiquan Community Cultural Activity Center, No. 33, Ningqiang Road, Shiquan Street, Putuo District. As close contacts of the local confirmed cases reported yesterday, seven infected persons have been placed under centralized isolation and control, and the nucleic acid screening test results were abnormal.
Wu Huanyu said that in accordance with relevant national regulations, comprehensive epidemiological investigation of the relevant situation and the possible scope of the epidemic, etc., according to the results of epidemiological investigation, combined with risk assessment, the case’s residence, workplace and Activity venues, etc. are designated as epidemic risk areas. The 7 infected people reported today and the 1 confirmed case reported yesterday have traveled to the Shiquan Community Cultural Activity Center several times recently, and the epidemiological investigation is highly focused on the activity center. According to relevant national prevention and control regulations, combined with epidemiological investigations, the site has been designated as a medium-risk area.
