Israel confirms second case of monkeypox in country

On May 28, local time, the Israeli Ministry of Health issued a statement on social media saying that a man in the country was confirmed to be diagnosed with monkeypox, the second confirmed case of monkeypox in Israel.

According to The Times of Israel, the confirmed case is a 30-year-old man who recently returned from overseas travel.

The man was hospitalized at a medical center in Tel Aviv on the 27th and was discharged shortly after, and was diagnosed with monkeypox virus on the 28th.
