Argentina confirms second case of monkeypox in the country

On the afternoon of May 27, local time, the Argentine Ministry of Health announced on its official website that the virus nucleic acid test of a suspected monkeypox infection previously discovered was positive, confirming that it became the second case of monkeypox infection in the country.

The patient is a Spaniard who arrived in Argentina for a trip on May 25. He currently has symptoms of skin ulcers and is in good health. He is being treated in isolation.
