From 0 to 24:00 on May 22, 53 new local asymptomatic infections (51 in Xuchang City and 2 in Zhengzhou City) were added in the province, and there were no new confirmed or suspected local cases. There are no new imported confirmed cases, asymptomatic infections and suspected cases. 3 local confirmed cases were cured and discharged, and 23 local asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation.
From January 21, 2020 to 24:00 on May 22, 2022, a total of 3163 confirmed cases (2952 local and 211 imported from abroad) were reported in the province. There are 150 hospitalized cases (150 local cases), and 481 asymptomatic infections still under medical observation (476 local cases and 5 imported cases). A total of 126,495 close contacts have been traced, and 15,387 close contacts are being observed.
