Recently, Mr. Tang from Yongzhou, Hunan Province received a medical report and found that he had grown a “uterus”. He thought he had a strange disease, and hurriedly consulted a doctor, only to be told that it was an oolong caused by a staff error.
On May 6, Mr. Tang came to Yongzhou Tianhong Hospital (also known as Yongzhou Kexin Cancer Hospital) for physical examination. A week later, he got the medical report, but was taken aback: the color ultrasound report showed that he had a “uterus” in his stomach.
A reporter from the South China Morning Post saw on Mr. Tang’s medical report: “The uterus is in an anterior position, the size is 40x23x31mm, and the shape is regular…”

“My wife found this. She said how could a man have a uterus? I thought I had a strange disease, so I quickly asked the doctor.” Then Mr. Tang contacted The hospital, the other party said that it was the staff’s mistake, could redo a medical examination for him free of charge. He thought the hospital was unreliable, so he did not agree.

At about 11 am on May 19, the reporter contacted Ms. He, chief of the medical department of Yongzhou Tianhong Hospital. She said,
On the day of Mr. Tang’s physical examination, More people come to the hospital for medical examination. Due to negligence, the typist in the B ultrasound room did not delete the information involving the uterus on the template, but copied and pasted it into Mr. Tang’s report; the auditor signed and released the report without carefully checking it. “This is indeed negligence in our work and a low-level mistake.”
Ms. He said that the hospital attaches great importance to this matter, and the person in charge of the hospital personally called and sincerely apologized to Mr. Tang, expressing his willingness to take the physical examination. The fee was refunded, and at the same time, the hospital conducted another medical examination for Mr. Tang for free. “He didn’t make a statement at the time, and he couldn’t be contacted later.”
At present, the hospital has also dealt with the typists and auditors involved.
