By the end of 2021, among the more than 5 million nurses in the country, the proportion of male nurses will account for 3%, which is a lot higher than the 1.8% in 2012. The number of registered nurses per thousand population has also increased from 1.85 in 2012 to 2021. 3.56 people in the year. The national medical-to-nursing ratio has developed from 1:0.95 in 2012 to 1:1.17 in 2021. Guo Yanhong said that while the number of nurses continues to increase, the training of nurses will be vigorously strengthened. Now the education, quality and professional service ability of nurses are constantly improving. The proportion of nurses with college degree or above will increase from 56% in 2012 to nearly 80% in 2021. Therefore, the growth of the number of nurses and the improvement of their capabilities, the expansion of service areas and the improvement of technical capabilities for nurses, should be said to be one of our foundations.
