How many Chinese women have been miserable in these 4 “magic” beauty projects?

Not long ago, Zhimei saw such a news on the Internet. Ms. Li from Anhui spent 2,000 yuan for facial filler surgery in a beauty hospital in Nanjing. The total cost of treatment in the two hospitals has reached 600,000 yuan, which is really unaffordable.

Seeing this, I believe everyone’s first reaction is: Dare to do facial fillers in a beauty hospital? The courage is too big.

However, due to a lack of awareness of surgical risks and cosmetic procedures, many people are unaware that there are significant health risks. There are still many people like Ms. Li in life, so today Zhimei will take stock of the common items in beauty salons that burn money and may hurt the body. Let’s avoid these pits together!

“Detoxification and health care” is simply the ultimate trick of beauty salons. Once inside, whether it is acne, dark skin, constipation… or any discomfort, it can be hardened by merchants “The body has accumulated a lot of toxins” and needs to do “lymphatic drainage SPA”.

The question is, does the human body really need detoxification?

The truth is: NO!

There is no “toxin” in the body of a healthy person. The “toxin” advertised is actually the waste produced by the normal metabolism of the human body. 1].

Let’s talk about lymph, which is an important defense system of the human body and has its own “detoxification” function. When germs invade the human body from the outside world, the body will indeed have problems. At this time, the lymphatic system will fight against the germs, and reactions such as pain and inflammation will occur. After the lymphatic system eliminates the germs, these reactions will disappear [2].

If the lymph is massaged indiscriminately, it may damage the lymphatic capillaries and damage the lymph.

Acne affects “face” and is not easy to cure. Therefore, “quick acne removal” is also vigorously promoted by beauty salons as one of the money-making projects. It usually claims that acne can be removed in XX days. Is it really that powerful?

The truth is: I believe in your evil!

People’s Daily reported: In November 2019, a beauty salon in Xinghua, Jiangsu claimed to Ms. Zhang that she could see acne-removing results in just 15 days. Unexpectedly, a simple acne treatment, but Ms. Zhang was admitted to the ICU with mercury poisoning, and her life was on the verge of death. Subsequent tests found that the mercury used by Ms. Zhang exceeded the standard by more than 9,000 times [3].

Where is this quick acne treatment? It’s just a reminder…

Acne on our face is a skin disease, scientific name “acne”, mainly occurs on the face, is a chronic inflammatory skin disease of the hair follicles and sebaceous glands, the incidence rate is as high as 70% -87%[4].

Since it is a disease, of course, you have to see a doctor! The usual methods of beauty salons are generally “needling” and “applying a mask”, together with homemade “ointments” or skin care products that may be mixed with hormones. At that time, you may feel that the acne is less, but the acne bacillus deep in the hair follicles is still there. In the mass reproduction, acne will continue to grow, and does not solve the underlying problem.

(The picture shows the formation of acne)

In order to make money, some beauty salons will also use some substandard products, similar to what happened to Ms. Zhang, which hurts her “face” and her body.

Therefore, acne still needs to be treated by a regular hospital dermatologist. Beauticians and skin care products cannot replace the diagnosis and treatment of doctors.

There is a lump of fat under the eyes, which makes people look older than a few years, and it is difficult to cover up no matter how thick makeup is applied. Staying up late may also cause eye bags.

First statement: Eye cream can’t remove eye bags. At present, the best way to remove eye bags is surgery, but many people were scared and persuaded to quit after hearing the surgery…

At this time, beauty salons appeared, claiming to be able to “remove bags under the eyes without surgery”. Is there such a good thing?

The truth is: FALSE!

Current eye bag removal surgery, no matter how minimally invasive, has wounds, but the location of the wound is different!

Removing eye bags focuses on cutting away excess fat and sagging skin.

The common external incision method (also called external eye bag removal), incision is made from the skin at the root of the lower eyelashes, some fat and excess skin are taken out, and then sutured, and the area around the lower eyelid can also be smoothed wrinkles [5].

This method is more suitable for people with loose skin around the eyes. The disadvantage is that there will be obvious wounds and scars on the lower eyelid.

Those so-called “removal of eye bags without surgery” generally use the internal incision method (also called internal eye bag removal)[5], in which a small incision is made in the eyelid membrane inside the lower eyelid to remove the fat. The incision is small and the recovery is quicker, which is suitable for young people who are not particularly serious with eye bags.

Lines: No matter which one you choose, you will get a knife!

Here also reminds beauty lovers that some lower eyelid edema is caused by kidney function problems, but it is easy to be mistaken for eye bags, so if you find any abnormality, you should seek medical attention in time.

While Zhimei was surfing the Internet, she saw that on a social platform, a beauty program “Japanese-style osteopathy”, which claims to be able to lose face without cutting bones, injections, and no side effects, is very popular. A lot of people have come forward to say “very effective”.

(Source: Screenshot of a social platform)

According to the Internet, Japanese osteopathy mainly adjusts the sutures, muscles and soft tissues to achieve fine-tuning of the face, and the effect is immediate. This set is inevitably exciting, but is there any scientific basis for this?

The truth is: not reliable!

First of all, “bones suture” is a pseudo-concept. The gaps between bones seen on X-rays are actually fat, soft tissue, ligaments, etc. Besides, the connection between the bones of adults is tight and stable, and it is very unlikely to change this connection through external force.

What’s the matter with my face looking smaller after “bone surgery”? It’s probably because the puffiness on the massaged face has disappeared, and it’s visually smaller.

In this day and age

Love beauty can be expressed in a generous way

But don’t seek beauty for a while

Into the various pits of profiteers by mistake~

Do you have any lightning protection experiences you would like to share?

See you in the comments~
