Can vaginitis cause blood in vaginal discharge?

Maybe.

Severe vaginitis may cause the vaginal mucosa to break down and bleed, manifested as leucorrhea with bloodshot streaks.

However, malignant cervical lesions or endometrial lesions often cause bloody leucorrhea and vaginal bleeding after intercourse. Therefore, if there is vaginal bloody leucorrhea, you should seek medical attention in time to exclude malignant lesions of the cervix or endometrial.

Can vaginitis be cancerous?

Vaginitis is generally not cancerous.

However, if there is bloody leucorrhea and a large amount of vaginal discharge, relevant examinations are required to exclude secretion changes caused by other gynecological malignant diseases, such as cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, fallopian tube cancer, etc.
