77-year-old Shu Daddy went to the Gastroenterology Department of the Third People’s Hospital of Hubei Province for gastrointestinal discomfort. After admission, he underwent a painless gastrointestinal endoscopy, and the polyps were removed simultaneously. Around 7:40 in the evening when the endoscopy was done, when Tan Wan, the night shift nurse, walked to Dad Shu’s bedside, Dad Shu said softly, “Nurse, I only ate a bowl of porridge in the afternoon. I’m so hungry now.” Shu Dad was in the hospital alone, and there was no one at home to deliver meals. Tan Wan immediately said, “Daddy, you are not in a hurry, I’ll handle it.” Then Tan Wan ordered a takeaway immediately, and 20 minutes later, the white porridge was delivered. Daddy Shu’s bedside. After careful treatment and care by the doctors and nurses, Dad Shu recovered well and can be discharged home. On the day that Dad Shu was discharged from the hospital on the 27th, his responsible nurse caredly gave him a healthy diet education after gastrointestinal polyps surgery, and printed out the relevant precautions so that Dad could check it at any time at home.
