The First Hospital of Harbin Medical University and Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital jointly held the first cross-strait transradial artery interventional therapy conference

Recently, the first cross-strait transradial interventional therapy (TRI Club) academic conference jointly sponsored and hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University and Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital was successfully held. The conference adopts a combination of online and offline methods, and experts from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gather in the cloud to discuss hot issues of interventional therapy, bringing a splendid academic feast to the majority of interventional therapy doctors.

The TRI Club conference focuses on the timing, strategy and complication prevention of interventional therapy for difficult and complex coronary and carotid artery lesions, including special lectures, surgical demonstrations, and difficult case discussions. From the First Hospital of Harbin Medical University, the Second Hospital of Harbin Medical University, the Fourth Hospital of Harbin Medical University, Daqing Oilfield General Hospital, Chung Ho Memorial Hospital Affiliated to Kaohsiung Medical University, Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Chi Mei Hospital, Taipei Many experts from Veterans General Hospital, Tainan Municipal Annan Hospital and Taipei Mackay Hospital attended the meeting. The live broadcast of the conference lasted for 9 hours, and the total number of online viewing of the live broadcast by interventionalists in the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular fields on both sides of the Taiwan Strait was nearly 20,000.

Professor Li Yue, Deputy Dean of the First Hospital of Harbin Medical University, said that he was very pleased to organize a cross-strait TRI Club meeting with Taiwanese interventional therapy experts such as Professor Wu Jiongren and Professor Zheng Zhengyi. He hoped that through this meeting, academic exchanges, Promote technological innovation, train more professionals, and further promote the development of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular interventional therapy.

Professor Li Yue and Professor Tu Yingfeng from the First Hospital of Harbin Medical University, Professor Lu Zemin from Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and Dr. Xue Shukai from Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital gave wonderful academic lectures. In his report, Prof. Li Yue introduced a number of new technologies and procedures that have been invented in the field of interventional therapy for complex coronary heart disease over the years. A total of 9 interventional procedures were broadcast live at the conference. Among them, Taiwan’s top interventional experts such as Professor Wu Jiongren and Zheng Zhengyi demonstrated 5 wonderful coronary chronic occlusion and carotid artery interventional procedures. Prof. Li Yue, Prof. Gong Yongtai and Prof. Jing Ling acted as the operators to broadcast three complicated interventional procedures for chronic coronary artery occlusion. The team from the First Hospital of Harbin Medical University demonstrated the “double balloon-guide wire staggered cutting technology” invented by Professor Li Yue in two of the complex coronary chronic occlusion operations, and successfully opened the hard coronary chronic occlusion lesions. More than 20 experts in the field of CTO from both sides of the Taiwan Strait conducted in-depth academic exchanges on the new concepts and technical points and difficulties of interventional treatment such as PCI procedures for CTO lesions, guide wire technology, and dissection re-entry into the true cavity technology.

Professor Wu Jiongren of Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, the executive chairman of the conference, said that he has a very deep relationship with Harbin Medical University and has been invited to the First Hospital of Harbin Medical University for academic visits and exchanges many times. In recent years, the interventional treatment technology of coronary heart disease in the Cardiology Department of the First Hospital of Harbin Medical University has achieved rapid development, and many excellent young doctors have been trained. After a day of academic exchanges, the participating experts have gained a lot.

The first cross-strait TRI Club conference, through various academic forms such as special lectures, case sharing, and live broadcast of surgery, has established a platform for nearly 20,000 interventional doctors in the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular fields on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The high-level exchange and learning platform will surely promote the continuous development of new technologies and new concepts in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular interventional therapy in my country, and realize the high-quality development of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular interventional therapy in China.
