Sun Chongsan Pediatric Tuina has a long history. The founder, Mr. Sun Chongsan, was a native of Buye Village, Buliu Commune, Rongcheng County. He has written monographs such as Pediatric Massage in a Broader Sense, Pediatric Massage Secretary, and Corrective Massage Essentials. He diligently seeks ancient teachings and learns from others’ strengths, and gradually formed the influential Sun Chongsan Pediatric Tuina School. The “Thirteen Great Manipulations” created by Mr. Xun have the characteristics of graceful movements, neat and generous, rigorous norms, and remarkable curative effects. It is one of the main schools of pediatric massage in China. To the “14th Five-Year Plan”, they were all included in the national textbooks. In 1985, entrusted by the Ministry of Health, Shandong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine held the first national training course for pediatric massage teachers, and students from 18 provinces and cities across the country participated in the training. These students have now become the backbone of domestic pediatric massage, thus establishing Shandong’s leading position in pediatric massage in the country.
Shandong Provincial Health and Health Commission approved the establishment of Sun Chongsan School of Pediatric Massage Inheritance Studio and Sun Chongsan School of “Thirteen Great Techniques” characteristic technology demonstration clinics, creating more powerful conditions for the inheritance and development of the school. Shandong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a clinical department integrating clinical, teaching and scientific research.
