Daily maintenance of “alcoholic meat disease” and “rich disease” gout and arthritis

Gout is also known as “Emperor’s Disease”/”Rich’s Disease”/”Alcohol and Meat Disease”. With the improvement of people’s living standards, the incidence of gout arthritis is increasing day by day.

(1) Timely anti-inflammatory and analgesic during the attack: immediately use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Voltaren, Mobic, Glucosamine or Lesong et al., choose one of the drugs for short-term treatment, and stop the drug after the joint symptoms disappear. The dose of the drug can be appropriately increased 1-2 days before the onset of the attack. It can be taken orally and can be used externally at the same time. It should be noted that the local area should not be hot, but cold, and the limbs should be raised to rest.

(2) Drink more water and take sodium bicarbonate orally: more than 2000 ml per day, and take appropriate amount of alkaline drugs such as sodium bicarbonate to Alkalize urine and promote uric acid excretion. Pay attention to monitoring the pH value of urine while taking this medicine, the best value is 6.5-6.8.

(3) Prohibit staying up late: Staying up late makes the human body into an acidic environment, which is not conducive to the excretion of uric acid, and on the contrary will induce gouty arthritis.

(4) Strictly low-purine diet and abstinence from alcohol: low-purine diets are mostly vegetarian, eggs, milk and gelatinous foods ( Please refer to the article on my blog for dietary attention). Pay attention to reducing high-purine diets such as various animal offal, seafood, broth, fish soup and beef, especially during the attack period. Alcohol consumption can often induce or exacerbate gouty arthritis.

(5) Actively prevent and treat related diseases: Many related diseases often coexist with gout, such as obesity, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hypertension, etc. Active treatment is required. Obese people pay attention to losing weight slowly. When using certain drugs, you need to carefully read the instructions for use. Many drugs may increase blood uric acid and induce gout. At this time, you need to switch to other drugs.
