A few days ago, Xiamen Siming District Health and Health Bureau held an unveiling ceremony for the “Senior Heart Words” Siming District Elderly Psychological Care Service Center cum “Listen to Heart Words, Enjoy Life” Mental Health Promotion Public Welfare Activities for the Elderly.
Siming District, as the old city of Xiamen, has a large number of elderly people, and the aging is becoming more and more serious. The elderly need more psychological and spiritual attention while getting material life satisfaction. In order to promote the normalization of the psychological care for the elderly, with the strong support of the Wu Village Sub-district Office, the “Senior’s Heart Words” – Psychological Care Service Center for the Elderly in Siming District has landed in the Wu Village community of this sub-district.
It is understood that the Psychological Care Service Center for the Elderly in Siming District has set up functional rooms such as a psychological counseling room and a group auxiliary room, and professional psychological counseling agencies undertake various services. At the same time, in order to expand the coverage of services, the center also went deep into the pilot community to carry out home visits and case services, and brought psychological care services directly into the homes of the elderly to enhance the sense of acquisition of the elderly, and to improve the physical and mental health and well-being of the elderly in the region.
