Jiangsu’s first makeshift hospital serving Shanghai opens in Suzhou today

On April 8, Jiangsu’s first makeshift hospital serving Shanghai was officially opened in Suzhou to receive patients with positive infections for isolation and treatment.

The makeshift hospital covers an area of ​​10,000 square meters, and strictly divides clean areas, buffer areas, polluted areas, medical personnel passages, and patient passages. The site can accommodate 800 beds. The entire area is divided into three wards ABC. Each ward is set up with small units, each with about 16 beds, so that the makeshift hospital can achieve grid management. This time, Suzhou dispatched 200 medical staff and management personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the makeshift hospital.

As of 6 p.m. on April 7, Jiangsu Province has received a total of 4,733 key personnel from Shanghai to be quarantined in Jiangsu.

At the meeting of the Jiangsu Provincial Epidemic Prevention and Control Leading Group held on April 6, it was emphasized that supporting Shanghai means protecting Jiangsu, and it is the unshirkable responsibility of the whole province. It is necessary to resolutely implement the deployment of the Party Central Committee, adhere to the national “one game of chess”, fully support Shanghai’s fight against the epidemic, fully guarantee Shanghai’s supply, and make Jiangsu’s contribution to Shanghai’s victory in the battle of epidemic prevention and control and the overall national anti-epidemic situation.
