Two years ago, a doctor from the Shanghai Medical Team helping Hubei helped an ICU nurse in Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital who was suffering from insomnia due to stress. The nurse became a member of the medical team in Shanghai. As soon as she arrived in Shanghai, she called her “beneficiary” to thank her.

Two years ago on March 23, Wu Shuang, a nurse at the Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital, was anxious and insomnia after fighting for nearly 100 days on the front line of the fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic. At this time, it happened that the psychiatrist from the Shanghai Aid Hubei Medical Team was stationed in Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital. Wu Shuang and many colleagues sought out the aided Hubei doctor for psychological counseling and learning stress reduction exercises.

With the help of psychiatrist Li Jin and others from the Shanghai Aid Medical Team, Wu Shuang quickly got rid of his insomnia, became refreshed, and returned to work in the fight against the epidemic.

Yesterday, Wu Shuang told reporters that as soon as she arrived in Shanghai, she tried to contact him. When she got through to Li Jin’s phone, she expressed her gratitude to Li Jin with great excitement, and said that if they had any needs, she would do her best. Li Jin said that he did not expect that after two years, the medical staff in Wuhan still remember them.

Wu Shuang told reporters: During the most difficult time in Wuhan, all parts of the country, including Shanghai, gave Wuhan selfless and powerful support, and he was also a beneficiary of it. Back then, if it weren’t for the spiritual armor presented by Li Jin and other colleagues in Shanghai, he would not have known how to survive the battle. This time to support Shanghai, for me, it is more grateful. Today (April 6) Wu Shuang and colleagues from Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital will advance to the cabin hospital. She said that she will learn from her Shanghai counterparts who helped Wuhan in those years, and take good care of every Shanghai citizen who lives in the square cabin.
