Qingdao News Network, February 24th (Reporter Li Haifeng) As the saying goes: “If the liver is good, everything is fine! If the liver is not good, it will collapse before getting old!” The liver is the most important organ of metabolism and detoxification in the human body. The only organ without pain-sensing nerves is called the “dumb” organ. When the liver is damaged and diseased, it can be tolerated, never moaning and complaining easily. It is very easy for people to ignore its health status. And when the “model worker” starts to “call out pain”, it is often a big problem.
China is a big country with liver disease, and liver health needs our attention. How can we protect our “careful liver”? Qingdao News Network specially invited Sun Chenggang, director of the First Department of General Surgery, MDT Special Medical Center, Laixi City People’s Hospital, to help everyone.
If you want to take good care of our “careful liver”, you must know what damage it often suffers, and then “prescribe the right medicine”. Sun Chenggang said that there are many reasons for liver function damage, including viral hepatitis B (hepatitis B for short) and viral hepatitis C (hepatitis C for short) infection, drug-induced liver injury, and alcoholism. Among them, hepatitis B and C infection are the primary risk factors, and in China, hepatitis B infection dominates. In addition to the normal toxic and side effects of some drugs on the liver, drug-induced liver injury also includes liver damage caused by the superposition of drug effects and toxic effects of some Chinese herbal medicines. As for alcoholism, a large amount of alcohol intake can cause relatively serious toxic effects on the liver.
Based on the above factors, Sun Chenggang suggested:
1. In the aspect of hepatitis B liver injury, regular and early physical examination, early detection and early treatment should be carried out;
2. In terms of drug-induced liver injury, it is necessary to strictly follow the doctor’s advice, use rational drugs, and avoid taking drugs indiscriminately. Finally, it is recommended that everyone develop good living habits, quit smoking and limit alcohol, and eat less barbecue and pickled foods.
