China again aids Senegal with anti-epidemic materials and medical equipment

On the morning of the 22nd, the donation ceremony of China’s aid to Senegal’s anti-epidemic materials and medical equipment was held at the Diamniaju Children’s Hospital near the capital Dakar. Ms. Dieng, director of Diamniaju Children’s Hospital, and Wu Qiming, captain of the 19th China (Fujian) medical team to aid Senegal, attended the donation ceremony.

Wu Qiming submitted a list of donated items to Dean Dion.

Ms. Dieng said in her speech that she thanked the Chinese side for its donation and support to the hospital. This act of kindness has supplemented the medical power and brought good news to the children and patients of the hospital. The hospital will make full use of these medical drugs and equipment to better serve child patients, and at the same time allow Chinese doctors to better utilize their professional skills, so that the cooperation between the two sides will yield more fruits.

Wu Qiming said that he hoped that these batches of medical drugs and equipment can promote the construction of the cooperation mechanism between the counterpart hospitals in China and Serbia, improve the medical conditions of the children’s hospital, bring health to the local people, help the development of the hospital’s medical career, and strengthen the health field of China and Serbia. The depth and breadth of cooperation will enhance the friendly relations between China and Serbia.

Entrusted by the Chinese Embassy in Senegal, the 19th Chinese (Fujian) medical team to aid Senegal organized this donation activity on behalf of China to the partner hospital. The gifts mainly include: nucleic acid amplification detection analyzer and Kits, ultrasonic nebulizers, sputum suction devices, surgical instruments and other commonly used clinical equipment, as well as commonly used clinical drugs such as cardiovascular, antibacterial and human supplements, have a total value of more than 800,000 yuan, or about 74 million CFA francs.

At present, the Chinese government has sent the 19th batch of medical teams to Serbia, and has also donated anti-epidemic materials and medical equipment to Serbia many times during the epidemic. (Economic Daily reporter Song Bin in Dakar)
