On the afternoon of April 26, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province reported on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. At 15:00 on April 25, Changzhou City detected one positive case of the new crown in the screening of key populations. Subsequently, the Changzhou and district headquarters immediately carried out on-site epidemiological investigations, close inspections, transfer and isolation, and community management and control. As of April 26, there have been 8 confirmed cases in Changzhou, all of whom are students from Qishuyan Experimental Middle School in Changzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. They have been admitted to designated hospitals and all of them are asymptomatic infections.
As of the 26th after the outbreak of the epidemic, 338 close contacts have been investigated in Changzhou, of which 337 in Changzhou have been quarantined. There are 382 people in close contact, including 378 people in Changzhou, all of which have been quarantined. 1 person for close contact investigation and 4 people for secondary close contact were sent to the city.

Changzhou City organized nucleic acid tests in an orderly manner after detecting positive people for the new crown in the screening of key populations. Strengthen the deployment of personnel and resources, coordinate the city’s forces to organize nucleic acid testing overnight, and conduct nucleic acid screening for close contact, sub-close contact and key populations in related areas in a rapid and orderly manner while tracing the source of the epidemic. As of 12:00 on April 26, nucleic acid test results have been released. All were negative.
11 working groups of Changzhou headquarters, including comprehensive coordination, flow adjustment and traceability, and 7 special work classes including enterprises, schools, rural areas, and construction sites were put into operation at the first time, and 14 closed control areas and 11 control areas have been designated. There are 9 prevention areas and 9 prevention areas, all of which are within the scope of Changzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. As of the 26th, 2,213 people have been quarantined in the city and 6,891 people have been quarantined at home.
