On July 18, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism released the “Announcement on the List of the Second Batch of National Nighttime Culture and Tourism Consumption Agglomeration Areas”. According to the “Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Launching the Second Batch of National-level Night Culture and Tourism Consumption Aggregation Areas Declaration Work”, after local declaration, provincial and department recommendation, compliance review, expert review, public opinion risk control, and on-site inspection According to other procedures, 123 projects including Wangfujing, Dongcheng District, Beijing, are planned to be identified as the second batch of national-level nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters. There are 4 projects selected in our province, namely: Taiyuan City Bell Tower Street Pedestrian Street, Taiyuan Ancient Town, Pingyao Ancient City, Xinzhou Ancient City.
The nighttime cultural and tourist consumption gathering area is a “barometer” of the new scene and activity level of cultural and tourist consumption, and also a new symbol of urban vitality. The “Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Further Stimulating the Potential of Cultural and Tourism Consumption” proposes: vigorously develop nighttime culture and tourism economy, and by 2022, build more than 200 national-level nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters.
It is reported that on October 19, 2021, in the list of the first batch of national-level nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Jinzhong City’s “See Pingyao Again” Cultural Industry Park was selected.
