According to reports, in order to allow citizens to obtain medicines faster, faster and safer, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission has provided corresponding dispensing channels for different situations:

Medical institutions have opened one-stop convenience clinics or simple clinics for dispensing medicines; for special specialist drugs such as psychiatry and tumor treatment, they have opened a “green channel” special window service. Each community health service center provides long-term prescription services, which can be dispensed for up to 3 months;

At the same time, volunteers have generally opened “substitute dispensing” windows to provide community drug catalogs to the village committees. The village committee collects the residents’ medication needs, and volunteers “dispensing drugs” assist the residents to prepare medication for common diseases and chronic diseases.

Another option is the online dispensing service. On the “Healthy Cloud” APP, the “I want to dispense medicines” special area has been opened to provide the general public with three convenient service functions of “one-click prescription refill”, “revisited dispensing” and “online consultation”.

Since its opening on April 12, the “I Want to Dispensing” section has recruited more than 600 physicians and pharmacists from public medical institutions in Shanghai, and has provided online appointment and consultation services for more than 400,000 person-times and issued prescriptions. More than 135,000 pieces of medicines have been delivered, and more than 105,000 orders have been delivered. At first, there were only more than 200 prescriptions issued per day, and more than 200 orders of medicines were delivered. Up to now, 11,000 pieces of prescriptions can be issued in one day, and more than 8,000 orders of medicines have been delivered.

At the same time, in response to the difficulty of dispensing medicines for “one old and one small”, the platform has supported the service functions of relatives under the age of 18 and over 60 years old and volunteers dispensing medicines.

In addition, Shanghai is also continuing to promote the resumption of retail pharmacies and release the list to the public, striving to release the pharmacy community drug supply service function, and citizens can choose the nearest pharmacy to buy drugs. As of May 8, more than 2,600 drug retail stores across the city have resumed operations.
