As a provincial tourism expressway, Wangxia Expressway is the first expressway in Xiahe County and one of the connection lines planned by the provincial road network in Gansu Province. It was opened on August 2018 The start of construction is located in Wangertang Town, Xiahe County, which is connected to the Wangertang Junction Exit of G1816 Linhe Expressway, and the end point is located in Sangke Town, Xiahe County. The total investment of the project is 6.49 billion yuan, and the total length of the route is 41.595 kilometers . The introduction of a new type of prefabricated zinc-aluminum alloy wire gabion protection maximizes the protection of the original ecology of the grassland and harmonizes the road with the natural landscape.
