According to CCTV news: The reporter learned from the press conference that as of 24:00 on April 18, there were 21 severe patients receiving treatment in designated medical institutions.

7 new deaths were reported on April 18, ranging in age from 60 to 101 years old, with coronary heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, cerebral infarction sequelae, cerebral hemorrhage and other serious underlying diseases. None of them were vaccinated against the new coronavirus. The above-mentioned 7 cases deteriorated after admission, and the rescue was invalid. The direct cause of death was caused by the underlying disease.

According to the Shanghai Health and Health Commission’s release on the 19th, from 0:00 on February 26, 2022 to 24:00 on April 18, 2022, a total of 27,613 local confirmed cases and 5,886 were cured and discharged. 21,717 cases (including 21 severe cases) were treated in hospital, and 10 cases died.
