February 28, 2014, Wenxian Yang He is studying at Zhongjiang Jiguang Experimental School. An accidental fall changed his life dramatically. After being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, Yang Wenxian’s right leg was found to have a pathological fracture of the distal femur, and at the same time, osteosarcoma was also found.
After 2 years of conservative treatment, Yang Wenxian’s condition was controlled to a certain extent. But in May 2017, Yang Wenxian, a freshman in high school, fell again due to a leg problem and became seriously ill.
Yang Wenxian recalled that there was a chance to save his leg at that time, but the operation had to be postponed due to financial difficulties at home. It was with this delay that the tumor in his leg grew and became worse and could be life-threatening, so the leg had to be amputated.
In March 2018, in order to prevent the spread of the tumor, Yang Wenxian underwent a high-right leg amputation operation at Beijing Jishuitan Hospital. In September 2018, half a year after the operation, Yang Wenxian returned to Zhongjiang to study.

In the Spring Festival of 2022, Yang Wenxian was at school. Yang Wenxian said that since everyone in his family studied medicine, he also had a dream of studying medicine since he was a child. In order to get into his ideal major, during the winter vacation, he stayed at the school to review, leaving for the classroom at 6 in the morning and leaving at 11 in the evening, every day.
