Fujian Bladder Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Alliance was established

Recently, the Fujian Province Bladder Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Alliance was formally established. Led by the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, the alliance will radiate to city-level hospitals and county-level hospitals across the province, and will jointly promote the early screening, diagnosis and treatment of bladder cancer and improve the diagnosis and treatment of bladder cancer in our province.

Wei Yong, professor of urology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, introduced that the alliance aims to promote the transformation of the patient’s diagnosis and treatment model from “simple diagnosis and treatment” to “screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.” The integrated bladder cancer management system” will further improve the survival and quality of life of bladder cancer patients.

In addition, the Hepatology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University has recently led the establishment of the Fujian Provincial Liver Disease Nursing Alliance. The alliance currently includes 16 medical institutions in 8 districts and cities in the province, including the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, the Second Provincial People’s Hospital, Fuqing City Hospital and Lianjiang County Hospital in Fuzhou. According to reports, the alliance focuses on tackling the chronic disease management model for patients with liver disease, exploring the implementation strategy of extended nursing services, focusing on coping with the rising prevalence of fatty liver in the population, and adapting to the diverse and multi-level health needs of the population, and implementing Health science promotion.
